Toy Cars!

So, yet another boring evening at my parents place... And I tried to do some cool shots of my toy cars. I used an umbrella that I had lying around, and it happened to be orange! :) Cool lighting, you might say. Actually the light color was kind of warm! :p

Anyway, some results. I did not have Lightroom/Photoshop, so this is pure K10D JPEG in-camera processing (not my normal way of processing images :P). I made these just to show off the lighting possibilities of a single strobe, off-camera. I did not use a light-stand, just put my strobe on a super clamp.

The cars are on a round piece of glass, again on top of large A1 size sheets of paper.

Look at how the umbrella reflects in the front of the car.. Strange specular highlights anyone?


Next two are bounced from the ceiling, no umbrella.

All these shots were also made using a polarizer to increase contrast.
