So, I finally got to sorting out the pictures from my short holiday visit to Cedric, together with Remco, Janet and Simone. So, here they are :D

There was also a festival, celebrating the freedom of Valencia. Knights etc. gathered in front of this town wall entrance and a flag was raised above it.

Party time!

My dad worked with Philips Lighting for a little more then 40 years now, and this weekend we celebrated this fact with a party in the garden of our home. K-kwadraat, a two-man showgroup came to display their fire-toting skills ;)

More conference photography

So, it has been a while since I updated this blog.

Anyway, the pictures from the second conference I shot (Onderwijs Research Dagen 2008) are online now. Check http://www.ord2008.nl and click through to 'Foto's'.

So this is holiday time, lots of time to chill and overthink stuff. Life. Everything ;) So, that's a good thing! Up in a week: holidays in the Ardennen. Up in two weeks: Introductionary week @ TU/e (Beer :D). Up in three weeks: my first wedding (shooting togetherwith a college friend)!

Exciting. After that, I'm going to continue my study. I'm debating with myself on where to go for an abroad internship... I'll keep you posted ;)

Kamer verbouwen!

Hey allemaal, hieronder wat foto's van het 'verbouwen' van mijn kamer. Heb nu m'n Behringer B2031's opgehangen en tevens kun je mijn mengpaneel zien en de IBM T60p in zijn dock.

Ook is te zien mijn nieuwe geluidskaart die dit alles mogelijk maakt (Maya 44 USB) en mijn nieuwe scherm (Dell 2408WFP) dat zo belachelijk veel licht geeft dat het zelfs flared op de foto hieronder :P

Conference photography

I shot the European Conference on Integrated Optics 2008 (ECIO2008) last week, which was a real challenge for me in terms of professionalism. Exposure & white-balance wise it also was a real challenge, dealing with lots of different light sources and trying to balance in some off-camera flash in a huge room (while keeping the flash hidden from the audience, ofcourse :S)... I'm really pleased with the result however. There could be room for improvement, but there always is and I see that as a good thing.
